Shannon Miller, a 7 time Olympic Medalist and 9 time World Medalist remains The Most Decorated American Gymnast, male or female, in history, having won more Olympic and World Championship Medals than any other US gymnast.
Shannon has been inducted into 7 Halls of Fame including the International Women's Sports Hall of Fame. She is the only woman, in any sport, to be inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame twice! (As an individual and with her team)
She holds a BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston and her law degree from Boston College.
Shannon remains a passionate advocate for health and wellness for all ages including taking proactive measures to ensure a healthy and balanced lifestyle. She began the Shannon Miller Foundation which is dedicated to fighting childhood obesity and was appointed Co-Chair of the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and the board of the Florida Sports Foundation by Florida Governor Charlie Crist.
In addition to her broadcasting and spokesperson duties, hosting her own television show and writing a series of fitness books; Shannon continues to be a sought after professional speaker.
Through her personal stories of trial and triumph Shannon shares with her audience the idea of "balance" in our efforts to be successful and live a healthy and fit lifestyle.
2009 U.S. Women's Open

The 2009 U.S. Women's Open takes over Saucon Valley Country Club.The three practice days leading up to the first round of the 2009 U.S. Women's Open will give people a chance to enjoy a variety of events before the competitive golf begins.
Among the early week offerings is a Celebration of Women in Sports clinic at 10 a.m. July 7. Presented by the Women's Sports Foundation, the clinic will feature five former world-class female athletes who aren't golfers by trade but have become attached to the sport.
America’s Most Decorated Gymnast, Shannon Miller, former WNBA player Rebecca Lobo, and U.S. Women's Soccer player Julie Foudy will speak during the clinic and take part in a question-and-answer session.
"The reason we selected these athletes in particular was every single one of them plays golf regularly," said Mimi Griffin, the 2009 Women's Open executive director. "We thought there was a wonderful connection there. Even though golf wasn't their chosen sport, they can speak about golf as a life-time sport."
Shannon Miller delivers motivational speech for athletes in Toronto, Canada on June 27th. The event celebrated the 10th anniversary of Clarington Gymnastics Academy located in Bowmanville ON.
Shannon Miller will speak to over 1700 athletes at the Freedom Valley YMCA in Downingtown, Pennsylvania during the YMCA National Championships on June 24th. If you're in the area make sure to stop in to see this great event!!
