June 5, 2007 - Shannon speaks at the “Xtreme Knowledge” 2007 Youth Summit held at the Choctaw Coliseum in Durant, Oklahoma on Tuesday June 5. The Summit , designed to be an educational and motivational fun filled experience, will help economically disadvantaged and disabled youth ages 14-21 prepare for the employment challenges of the future. This event will feature live entertainment, motivational speakers, and a career fair from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

May 18, 2007 - Shannon attended the 3rd Annual Ladies First Celebrity Golf Classic. This is the only Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament in the world which features an all-female field of celebrities (from sports, movies, tv, and music)!  The event also hosts a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament.

May 17, 2007 - It’s a day of fun in California where Shannon acts as honorary team captain at the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital for an event featuring a “field day” that includes Corporate Champions competing in events like tug-of-war and basketball free throws.

Shannon, along with other Olympians, will also spend time visiting children at the hospital where they can all enjoy various games and activities like ping pong, ring toss, air hockey etc.
