2nd Annual Shannon Miller Kids Marathon!

The Shannon Miller Foundation will hold the 2nd Annual Shannon Miller Kids Marathon on May 1st, 2010. Kid’s ages 7-14 will run or walk 25 miles over a 12 week period. The last 1.2 miles will be run on "Race Day" at the Jacksonville Landing. When the athletes cross the finish line, they will have run the entire distance of an Olympic marathon, 26.2 miles! Registration is FREE so sign up now! All will be awarded a gold medal as they cross the finish line!

"One to Grow On" Ultra Marathon

Shannon joins Baptist Health at the “One to Grow On” Ultra Marathon celebration to benefit the Wolfson’s Children’s hospital. On January 30, a select group of runners will individually run 55 miles in celebration of the children served at Wolfson for 55 years.

March of Dimes March for Babies

Shannon will serve as the Honorary Chair of the March of Dimes March for Babies event to be held April 24th in Jacksonville, Florida. She will be speaking to corporate teams and individuals at the kick-off luncheon January 28th. To learn more click here.

4th Annual A.R.T. Exhibition

Shannon and her husband will serve on the host committee for the 4th Annual A.R.T. Exhibition on Thursday, January 21, 2010. The event highlights how Artistic Realization Technologies (A.R.T.) has enabled people with significant developmental disabilities to unleash their hidden passion and artistic talent using acrylic paint on canvas. Shannon talks Gestational Diabetes on WJCT

Shannon talks about dealing with gestational diabetes this Sunday, January 17th on "Health Matters" WJCT (Jacksonville Fl) at 10:30am. Shannon was diagnosed with gestational diabetes while pregnant with her son. She discusses the importance of testing as well as following your doctor's fitness and nutrition plan. Shannon is currently writing a prenatal cookbook that contains recipes that are helpful during pregnancy and contains a chapter on gestational diabetes (to be out spring 2010). |
