Pre-Holiday Burn Workout #7: Basic Toning Exercises

When you exercise, cardio is only part of the equation; you need to be improving your body tone, too!

If you are not building and toning the muscle tissue in your body, you are not getting to an optimum level in your fitness.

When you are working your muscles in specific ways, the exercises:

  • increase metabolism
  • give the body a nice shape
  • make your strong
  • bring out your natural beauty
  • increase bone strength

Make sure when you use body toning exercises that you follow the form cues.

  • The exercises are designed to work when done properly.
  • If you cannot do the repetitions with proper form, reduce your number of repetitions until you are ready to increase.

SML Diet Tip: Eat a Healthy Breakfast!

Not only do people who eat breakfast weigh less, but people who eat a well balanced breakfast with protein, complex carbs, and good fats tend to lose more weight than people who eat a regular breakfast, or no breakfast.
