What a wonderful time of year!

Amidst all of the cheer, there may be one thing that can get in the way…or rather a culmination of things…

  • stuffy nose,
  • watery eyes,
  • clammy feeling,
  • congestion,
  • cough

…that’s right, it’s cold and flu season. There are a million and one cold/flu remedies that can be purchased from your local pharmacy. But if your looking for a natural remedy or feel too yucky to get to the store one fantastic remedy is tea!

Different kinds of tea can help you fight the nasty cold/flu from stealing your holiday spirit!

  • Ginger tea is an antiviral and can therefore help to kill germs, which are your biggest enemies when fighting a cold! Additionally, ginger tea comes in handy when you have an upset stomach. (or if you’re suffering from morning sickness)
  • Surprise, surprise! Raw garlic has anti-fungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Of course, rather than chomp into a garlic clove, you might want to put it in some hot water and have a tea party!
  • Peppermint tea is a fever fighter. After drinking some peppermint tea, go straight to bed, where you can sweat out that funky fever! So when you start feeling sick this holiday season, break out the tea a simple at-home remedy that works!
