National Race to End Women’s Cancer

Author: Shannon Miller

It’s fall—when we enjoy pumpkin spice everything and beautiful fall colors. Of course, we also enjoy a great deal of pink and teal between September and October Awareness months. And, for good reason. It’s a great time of year to create even more awareness of both breast and ovarian cancers and all women’s cancers.

As an advocate for women’s health I believe it’s also a great time to focus on your overall health. Get those screenings and exams, work to find moderation in your diet and exercise, and make time for yourself so that you can recharge. (I know, easier said than done.) So, before you get deep into holiday preparations, take some time to focus on YOU.

I’m really excited to share a wonderful event coming up that can help you do just that and also allows you to join the fight against women’s cancers. It’s the 2019 National Race to End Women’s Cancer taking place in Washington DC on November 3rd!

The race started more than 10 years ago as the pinnacle fundraising and awareness event for the Foundation for Women’s Cancer. It serves as an opportunity to bring families and friends together to support those impacted by gynecologic cancers. To date, over $1,500,000 from the race has been raised by more than 22,000 survivors, families and advocates participating in the race from across the country.

Check out the information below, and if you’ll be in the DC area the first week of November make sure to check out this uplifting, informative and hope filled event dedicated to helping end women’s cancer!
