(BUSINESS WIRE) St. Petersburg, FL- Health & Wellness Channel is pleased to announce the selection of America’s most awarded gymnast, Shannon Miller, as the host of the new reality show THE WISH LIST WITH SHANNON MILLER to begin airing first quarter 2012.
THE WISH LIST WITH SHANNON MILLER travels the country granting wishes to children and young adults with life threatening medical conditions. “As a mom, an Olympian, and a cancer survivor, Shannon is ideally suited to be the face of a show we feel will be a smash hit for the inspiration it provides and the unabashed joy and hope that it communicates,” says HWC founder Drew Nederpelt. About Shannon Miller
Shannon Miller remains The Most Decorated American Gymnast, male or female, in history. She is the only American to rank among the Top 10 All-Time gymnasts and is the only female athlete to be inducted into the US Olympics Hall of Fame – twice! (Individual in 2006 and Team in 2008).
Shannon’s tally of five medals, two silver and three bronze, at the 1992 Olympics was the most medals won by a US athlete. At the 1996 Olympic Games, she led the “Magnificent Seven” to the US Women’s first ever Team Gold and for the first time for any American gymnast, she captured Gold on the balance beam.
Shannon hosts her weekly talk radio show Saturdays on WOKV and has published a series of fitness books, DVD’s, and a personal fitness mat. Shannon enjoys her most recent activity best…Mom to son Rocco, who was born in 2009. Shannon is a recent cancer survivor.
