Try this: Get some inexpensive ceramic mugs from the dollar store and a pack of colored sharpie markers. Design something on each mug in pencil. Go over it with the sharpies. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes to set. Sweet gift! Works on ceramic plates, too.
